Under Water Photography

Underwater photography is a hobby of passion - the desire to learn how to capture an image underwater in a way nobody else has and share that image with other's who share this passion. Our course will teach you the how-to's of capturing still images underwater with film or digital utilizing a point-and-shoot camera or fully housed digital SLR system.

The PADI Underwater Photography course is designed to familiarize divers with the skills, knowledge, planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems, hazards and enjoyment of shooting underwater still photographs. This course is intended to serve as a safe and supervised introduction to underwater still photography techniques used in the underwater environment. The goals of this course are to develop the students practical knowledge of photographic principles, composition, film types, strobe and available light shots and camera handling techniques. In addition, each student will learn proper preparation, as well as proper care and maintenance of photographic equipment.
